Stink like chemicals

"Unfortunately I haven't been able to use these items because they came absolutely reeking like putrid fragrance chemicals. These are supposedly food grade products, but doused in chemicals due to the open and porous packaging means there's no barrier. To use these items would mean to place clean food into contaminated products. The water bottles I ordered also stink heavily and I was struggling to be in the same room with them on the counter let alone actually bringing my lips to the bottle. I bought their products before without issue, and I'm very disappointed. It's not food grade anymore! I buy glass water bottles and reusable bags to reduce chemical exposure and if the company contaminates them with chemicals before they reach me, that eliminates the point."

Good to use

"I have used them for freezer storage and the seem to work well. A little tricky to fill a bag with leftovers unless I have a helper - but I have managed. Washable and manageable"

Very Disappointed

"I purchased a 12-pack and was initially excited to add them to my food storage arsenal. However, these ended up being such a let down. I could not get residue removed by handwashing and added them to the top-rack of our dishwasher (with no heat-dry or sanitizing setting) and the bags emerged completely disfigured. Most couldn't be zipped anymore and were too warped/wrinkled/shrunken to function, one melted into a cup which made a hole in the bag (and ruined the cup), and some still had residue inside. Unfortunately, I was left with 3 "usable" bags out of the 12. Very frustrating and now I feel guilting for having to throw them away when that was the opposite of what I was looking to do."
